This formal scheme was designed for a large residential property in Bristol in 2021. Structural planting, including topiary and native trees, was used to demarcate and conceal sections of the garden. Elsewhere, planting focused on interest throughout the year, from early spring bulbs to late summer perennials. Shrubs were carefully interspersed between perennials to add another layer of texture and interest. Two ponds connected by a rill reinforce the sense of formality.
